Christmas Banquet
In place of the the monthly meeting in December PRFA has its annual Christmas party where along with dinner and great conversation the award for the largest Red Snapper caught by a club member is presented.
Kids Fishing Clinic – This years event will be April 14, 2012
Put on each year by the PRFA, FWC and many local businesses. This event is to teach kids some of the basics involved in fishing.
Children ages 4 -14 get a free t-shirt, fishing rod ,tackle box and much more.
Learning stations include: how to tie knots , casting, proper fish handling, touch tanks, and more.
Fun filled day for all.
Family Fishing Rodeo – This years event will be September 14-16, 2012
The family fishing rodeo is a fun weekend of family entertainment and food.
The main event is the fish weigh in and awards. Hot dogs and chips are available for the kids each day along with a big fish fry on Sunday for all. This event is open to the public as well as members.
